Wedding ceremonies

Your wedding day is the beginning of your new life together and the ceremony will set the scene for this new life. I will create a romantic and beautiful ceremony that reflects your personalities and lifestyle, leaving wonderful memories to last a lifetime.

By meeting you and learning about your lives, I will be able to compose the narrative to your day.

Together we will weave the music, poetry and readings through the ceremony so that your story is told your way and I will help you write your vows, so that the words speak from your heart.

I am happy to include any content that you wish; secular, spiritual or religious, and we will explore special elements that can be adapted to your style or create totally new ones based around your lifestyles. [View special elements]

Choosing to have a celebrant ceremony, means you can have your wedding your way, in any location, at any time, on any day…………there are literally no restrictions.

Whether your dream location is ancient woodland, rustic barn or exclusive country estate, we will create a ceremony that will be a truly unique to you.

I provide ceremonies all over the South East; Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire & London, plus overseas locations too.

To find out more about me, please contact me for an informal phone conversation.

Please note: Currently in the UK, a celebrant ceremony is not a legally binding. For your marriage to be recognised by law you must also complete the legal formalities at a registry office either before or after the ceremony. Many couples choose to do this the day before the ceremony. It takes approximately 15 minutes to complete the legal words and documents, leaving your vows and ring exchange for your ceremony.

What fee do you charge?

Weddings are charged after consultation. Each couple has different requirements therefore the fees reflect this.

Once we have had an initial telephone conversation to confirm if I am available for the set date, we will meet either in person or via Skype. This meeting is free of charge.

This meeting enables you to assess my approach and personality, and for me to assess what is likely to be required by you, which will give me an idea of the level of involvement needed and level of arrangements already made.

During this meeting we will discuss your hopes and dreams for your ceremony and also for your whole wedding day. This is so that I can create a ceremony that will follow any themes you have running through the day.

After this initial meeting I will be able to provide you with a quote for my fees.

Once you have decided to hire me as your celebrant we can get to work on the content of your ceremony.

Each wedding ceremony is bespoke and is written around you, your lives and your love story. These stories will be weaved throughout the ceremony, so that it is totally personal to you and will help us create the theme running through.

We will meet at least once more to discuss ideas and will have many telephone calls and exchange of emails.

We will also have a rehearsal, hopefully at the venue or if this is not possible at an alternative location.

You will have unlimited email contact with me right up to your wedding day, so there is no need to feel rushed about the process of creating your ceremony.

I will offer you suggestions on music, poems, your vows, readings and any other special elements that would make your ceremony unique. We can even create some totally unique elements that are themed around your lifestyles or interests.

Once we have confirmed the content I will create your ceremony for your approval.

I will also liaise with the venue/or visit to venue if possible *

We will have a rehearsal to ensure you are comfortable with everything before the big day

Your wedding will be the only ceremony I deliver that day. I never book two ceremonies on one day so you can feel assured that we are not rushed.

You will receive a presentation folder of wedding ceremony script as a keepsake.

I will also be available for Photographs if required.

There are also many traditional and unusual elements that can be incorporated into your wedding ceremony and several of these can also be adapted to match your ceremony themes.

An example of some of these include:-

  • Unity Sand Ceremony.
  • Broom Jumping Ceremony
  • Hand Fasting
  • Time Capsule
  • Wishing Tree

There is also the opportunity to create your own unique element based around your lifestyle.

The special elements may incur an additional charge if you wish for me to source items that you want to keep after your ceremony, such as; witness book, hand-fastings, coloured sand, witness parchments etc.

Any additional costs will be discussed with you for agreement, but may include; travel outside a 30 mile radius, accommodation costs if an overnight stay is needed or additional face to face meetings.
